Forest City
Welcome to the Forest City Stockade! The restoration of the Forest City Stockade was a Meeker County project for the Bicentennial year of 1976. The Stockade, and the two-story museum within, stands as a memorial to the brave pioneers who settled here and sought safety behind its walls during the Sioux Indian Uprising of 1862. http://www.forestcitystockade.org/

Watkins

Annual Watkins Sportsman’s Fishing Contest  in January .

CLEAR LAKE CAMPGROUND

The Clear Lake Campground is located 3 miles south of Watkins on CSAH #2.  Amenities include: boat ramp, dock space, slips, mooring buoys, electric, water, sewer, shower and restroom facilities.  Large open play area.  Bait, store and trout fishing within 2 blocks. Phone: 320-764-2592.

KRAUT N’ WURST DAYS
The highlight of summer is the Kraut N’ Wurst Days held the first Saturday in August each year with a parade, Little Miss Watkins Pageant, Cow Drop Raffle, an evening street dance and beverage/food stands located in McCarthy Park.  Some events begin on Friday evening with other events throughout Saturday.
